Daily Photo – Prepping for the Shanghai Photo Walk
This monolith along the Bund, Shanghai is where the whole group met for the photo walk while on the Asia tour. Besides all the great people I met there, it was also amazing to run into Liam Gowing, who was a guy I went to Jesuit High School with! He was like the “cool” guy that was the lead singer of the band… I was not cool in high school, believe me. But now, we were both kinda cool, I guess. Hey, cool is a state of mind, right?
Thank you again to everyone that came out to the amazing Photo Walks in the US. I think I’m still a bit exhausted from all of it… should we do it again next year
Daily Photo – Cliff at The Hills
One day I took my friend Cliff out to The Hills to walk around and explore. At one point, I saw him up on the hill looking awesome and grabbed this quick one.
Drifting slowly towards the Burning Man Photo Walk
Now there’s a little break in the Photo Walks as I get prepped for Burning Man… it’s gonna be great!
As for the photo walk, it will be on September 1. Check the 80stays.treyratcliff.com website for the deets! Of course, since Burning Man is a non-commercial event, we won’t be talking about all the sponsors and that stuff…no ticket sales… none of that stuff… just free l
Daily Photo – Into the Hazy Air in Beijing
One day I was able to get up on the roof of one of the skyscrapers in the CBD area of Beijing. I spent a lot of the time zoomed in as far as I could go. It gives everything quite a different look as it pulls the far away close…
See everyone for the photowalk tonight in Philly! I hope the whole crew from Sunny in Philadelphia shows up to join the party!!!
Ever in Te Anau, New Zealand
Be sure to look up Heff to take an epic flight around the Fjordlands!
Daily Photo – Heff Swooping in to Bring Supplies
We were So Far Away from civilization out here on the main continent of Antarctica, that it was more than a bit daunting. Every so often, the New Zealand base would send out Heff to bring us supplies, food, and goodies. The worst part about his job is we’d always have to load up his chopper with all of our human waste. So, that’s what you see flying away there with Heff…
Also, it seems the Photo Walk has really spurred sales of the Trey Ratcliff Mega Pack! Thanks so much and glad you’re enjoying it! Don’t forget you can use the code TRUSA to save $300 at checkout!
Quick video from New York!
Just got to New York and visited a gallery in Soho that has a print hanging in it… see my Robot Daughter Scarlett and more! Haha… Getting ready for the big Photo Walk tomorrow.
Daily Photo – Ouissal in Venice
I was with my friend Simon almost every day in Venice. We had a truly great time all over the city, and we were often on these boats. His girlfriend Ouissal was with us too, and always looking mega awesome… I ended up getting about 100x more photos of her than Simon.
Don’t forget about the OFFICIAL start to the USA Photo Walk Tour tomorrow in New York City!
See you tomorrow in New York City! Be sure to check the 80stays.treyratcliff.com site to find out more!
Daily Photo – Bridge Party in Sydney
This was a crazy-long day of hiking with my friend Tom. I think we must have walked 15 km that day with all our heavy camera stuff! Towards the end of the night, when we finally got under the famous Sydney bridge, I barely had enough energy to take this photo, but I’m glad I did!
It was great meeting everyone out there… and I’m very excited about our upcoming 13 photowalks in the USA! Be sure to check 80stays.treyratcliff.com to find out more!
Daily Photo – Rainy Colors in Dubai
As far as I can tell, it doesn’t rain much here in the city. Rene and I happened to be still out after the photowalk when the rain started to fall. We got pretty excited and started taking photos like cray cray. This is a really cool area of town that goes right along the beach. Over to the right is just a 30 second walk out to the ocean.
If so, add your link below so others can find you! 🙂
Upgraded my Tumblr Page
I decided to put a little more love into my weak Tumblr effort. I actually really like Tumblr and I see a lot of beautiful things there, at least from the people that I follow currently.
Someone already had the name “Stuckincustoms” (Arg!) so I used TreyRatcliffPhotos.tumblr.com. Enjoy! And thank you to former Texan Annie Werner for the encouragement and help! 🙂
Daily Photo – Walking in Yosemite
Here’s a photo from a walk along this beautiful little path in Yosemite. It looks very serene and welcoming, yes? Well it is! I was sad I only got to spend one day here in the forest… I’d like to go back. Actually, I’d really like to get to Yosemite when it is snowing. I bet there are a thousand interesting photos all over the place… but now, by the time out I find out it is snowing, it will take me too long to get over there! 🙁
I took this one during the crazy photowalk there… we had so much fun!
Thanks to a last-minute change-of-plans, it turns out that I am headed on a secret adventure in Australia! I’d like to start it off with a PhotoWalk in Sydney! Here’s the details:
Everyone is invited for this fun event – all skill levels… it doesn’t even matter if you just have your mobile phone and like to snap away with that. Personally, I’ll have the whole shootin’ match with my tripod and stuff, but this will be immediately obvious upon arrival.
Cost: Free
Date and Time: Tuesday, SEPT 25th at 5 PM Sydney Time
Location: Sydney, First Fleet Park http://goo.gl/maps/uh8p2
Who to Bring: A family-friendly event! Bring the brood!
Photo Sharing: After the photowalk, attach your photos to this event in Google+!
I know there are many beginner and serious photographers in the area, and I look forward to meeting you! I’m VERY sorry for the last-minute notice, but my schedule has been erratic lately.
We will walk along the waterfront, take photos, and I’ll go through several demonstrations. I’ll describe what I’m doing, and all questions are welcome. I hope it is both a great photo-experience and learning-experience! 🙂
Daily Photo – Fast Action in New York City
Speaking of PhotoWalks, I took this photo right after the photowalk in New York City a few weeks ago! I emerged from Grand Central Station and was about to walk across the street when I saw this scene. That guy was still as a statue, checking his phone while the world went on around him.
I put up the event on Google+ here, and this is a cool new system where we can collect photographs from the entire event. It will be great fun to follow along even if you can’t make it.
Exact Location: Here in St. Omer’s Park.
Time: 5 PM
What to bring: Any kind of camera will do, even a mobile phone!
Who to bring: Family-friendly! 🙂
Queenstown PhotoWalk
Come join me for a free and fun PhotoWalk on Saturday, June 30th!
We’ll start at 5 PM, but I’ll be there early goofing around if you want to hang out. I’ll have the Genie from SYRP with me as well, and I’ll try not to drop it in the lake.
We can meet in St. Omer’s Park, probably over by the bench (near the roundabout). After the event, we can go grab some chocolates or a snack or something.
