Here’s an amazing 2-minute short story called “The Egg” by Andy Weir. Now that I’ve tried DMT many times, I’m sure it’s true! π
The kind of art that was in this museum was not incredibly exciting to me, but the museum itself was beautiful. This one is the easy-to-pronounce Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien. You know how sometimes you’re in a city for a while and you keep saying the same word over and over again. And then, you FINALLY figure out what the word means just as soon as you leave the city? Yeah, well I saw that word “Wien” everywhere. I then felt dumb when I figured out that’s the Austrian name for Vienna.
This is a great book! I’ve recently added it to my Kit.com list, where I have a lot of my other favorite books listed, including the prequel to this one, Sapiens.
I was super-impressed with the gardens and environs of Vienna. I clocked A LOT of steps here. It’s not that spread out, but there is just simply a lot to see. It’s definitely a walking city. I don’t even know if they have a subway system? I never checked to see because everything was so fun to look at while walking around. This was taken very near a beautiful rose garden that had like 100 different rose varieties from around the world.
Have you tried Plotagraph Pro yet? There was just a good price reduction too that would probably get you excited. Also, they launched Plotagraph Social as well, which is mega cool.
You may notice I have Olya in a lot of my photos from Europe! One big reason is that we made three videos per city, so she was basically around me all the time. She was often fumbling around with audio, checking the video, setting up a 2nd camera, etc… so I was often just waiting around… while waiting around, why not take a photo like this? Actually, she’s like in 100% of my shots… just been photoshopping her out! π
Hey look, two days, two highlight videos in a row! Here’s highlights from our photo walk in Vienna where the theme was “symmetry.”
How beautiful is this cafe inside the museum? Museums always have nice and fancy cafes, but I’ve never seen one this nice. By the way, you see how the museum name ends in “Wien” – it took me four days of being in Vienna to realise that Wien means Vienna. I also figured out that there is no such language as Austrian. They mostly speak German there… anyway, just goes to prove you can travel all your life and still learn things that are incredibly obvious to other people… always a treat!
I’m doing TEN (count ’em 10) free photo walks across Europe… also a few special day-long workshops. Wanna see the list of places? Come check out the new site at 80stays.treyratcliff.com!
