Daily Photo – Tunnels of Paris

I took this around midnight one evening while I was meandering around Paris. It’s really such a beautiful city to get lost in. Here’s a hot tip, btw. A lot of times. these photos will come out quite “orange” so it’s good to set your camera’s white balance to Tungsten to push the colors back into the cooler area.

The 50 Cities Drop

OpenSea Preview for Passport Members

If you’re a Passport Member then you’ll see a fun sneak peek of an upcoming drop over there. I have a new strategy that will either be awesome or crash and burn. We’ll see! ๐Ÿ™‚

The 50 Cities Drop

Here’s a sneak preview of the drop and a little bit about the pricing strategy. I don’t really know if it will work or not. I have very low expectations… so I guess we will see!

The OpenSea Drop

Passport Sunday

Today for Passport Members, we have a special treat! I just did my 3rd NFT drop, this time on OpenSea, and it made about $80K in three days. I made video that talks a little bit about my strategy there… some things that worked and others that didn’t!

The OpenSea Drop – A Recap

This was a pleasant surprise. I had pretty low expectations, but I was wrong! In this case, I was happy to be wrong. Enjoy the video ๐Ÿ™‚

The Splitting of the Seine

Passport Sunday Awesomeness

In today’s area for Passport Members, you’ll see how I combined 5 raw files from my old Nikon into the final scene!

The Making of

Today’s how-to is a pretty simple one. I chose to really emphasize the way the water looks and the reflections.

Daily Photo – The Splitting of the Seine

This is one of my favorite areas of Paris where the Seine splits to go around this island. As with most places in the city, I just randomly walk from place to place, getting lost, and trying to find new perspectives.

The Great Wall into Infinity

Passport Sunday Great Wall Challenge

Today’s photo has a little how-to if you are a Passport Sunday Member. If you are, then you’ll get this video in addition to hundreds of others.

The Making Of

In today’s video, you’ll see how I used HDR and LUTs to really make the wall stand out. Later, in Photoshop, I get rid of a lot of distractions… and as a bonus, you can hear about our harrowing night we spent inside one of those towers!

Daily Photo – The Great Wall into Infinity

Here’s a pretty good perspective of the Great Wall in one of the more mountainous sections. How they built this, I have no idea. They say that there are tons of dead Chinese workers that are actually buried in the wall as they died from the harsh conditions. Somehow, knowing how China works (especially in the olden days), I would not be surprised by this at all.

Daily Photo – The Great Wall of China at Sunset

This is right where we stayed for the night in one of those guard towers. It was not exactly luxury, unless you call putting a sleeping bag on hard stone to be “luxury.” It was one of the worst sleeps of my life, but it was still worth it… the next day I was a wreck and I had to show up for a photography meeting in Beijing. It was a tough one!

Passport Sunday Early Preview

If you’re a Passport Member then today you’ll get to see an early cut of a new fractal creation. I think this one is going to be very meditative. I’m trying to look for a good meditation to lay on top… maybe something from Mooji!

Machine Elf Demo Reel

Here’s a little highlight reel I made of most of the fractals created up until March of this year. I’ve done many more since, so I’m looking forward to making a new cut soon!

Onwards!

Inside the Flower painting

I think this one is coming along very well. I’m about halfway done. Here’s what I want to change + add.
– I don’t like the violent spins in the beginning, so I will insert more frames
– I think some of the colors are too bright – especially that neon green
– I’m gonna try to get it back to that flower thing at the end… not sure how I’ll do that.
– I want to make it about twice as long

Anyway, enjoy this early preview!

The UNIQLO Store

Passport Sunday Edit Day

If you’re one of our awesome Passport Members then you’ll get a fun, quick, and easy tutorial that shows how I made today’s photo.

Uniqlo Processing

Today I do a pretty extreme treatment with a little overexposure trick at the end to make all the people feel a little more surreal. (Also, we’ve made a few changes to the site this week and a couple of people reported issues playing the last Passport video. If you are affected by this email [email protected] and he’ll sort you out with a link until we fix the prob. ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Daily Photo – The UNIQLO Store

One thing is for sure about Asian megacities: They really know how to make some cool-looking shopping areas. The lights always call for some sweet sweet night photography. Also, I am pretty much usually the only one out there taking photos. People must be wondering what the hell I am doing. They would come up and ask, but they are too polite. Also, they don’t speak the same language.

Daily Photo – Exploring Doubtful Sound

I lived on a boat out here for about a week and it was totally magical. I was a photo-taking machine, of course. My favorite times were early mornings like this when all the clouds would come in and make everything feel extra-moody.
