My New Camera

Daily Photo – My New Camera

Been enjoying traveling the South Island of New Zealand with my new Sony a7CR – it’s a great camera! I think I went at least 5 years without getting a new camera, so I decided to treat myself and there are some other more practical reasons too, which I’ll explain in future posts. There are a lot of options on this thing and I’m still figuring it out. Maybe in another life I was a Japanese savant that knows how to use these menus, but not in this one. Here’s one of my early test shots…

Final Call

Before my new book embarks on its journey down the Amazon, I’m in search of a few more readers to join its rafting adventure! This work diverges markedly from my previous publications, weaving together decades of rigorous scientific inquiry with profound spiritual explorations to delve into the nature of reality. This narrative will resonate deeply if you’re navigating your own awakening, ever felt out of place on this Earth, struggled with forming meaningful heart-connections, or if the very fabric of reality leaves you pondering. Indeed, it’s packed with revelations… including the tale of my temporary departure from this planet!

That New IG Crop

If you missed it yesterday, here’s how to do that (probably buggy) IG post type that gets quite a bit of interest…
1) Go to https://business.facebook.com/latest/composer on your laptop/desktop) – untick FB in the interface if it is connected, leaving IG on.
2) Do the text.
3) Upload the image (in this case the image is 2.1k x 7.4k) and as it’s uploading immediately hover over the publish button.
4) Publish becomes clickable for about 0.25 seconds before the error kicks in about crop.
5) Whack the publish button during that 0.25 seconds!

Sneaky Fun New IG Crop

It’s maybe a bit of a bug and who knows if it’ll even show in this embed but you can do a super tall post on IG now.
1) Select to post on IG from the Meta Business Suite on your desktop/laptop.
2) Do the text, don’t upload the image yet.
3) Upload the image and as it’s uploading immediately hover over the publish button.
4) Publish becomes clickable for about 0.1 seconds before the error kicks in about the crop being incompatible.
5) Whack the publish button during that 0.1 seconds!
6) Done.

This is Crazy!

A Fun Weekend

Daily Photo – A Fun Weekend

It’s been a crazy few months here with a major project or two coming together so this weekend I’m off to a festival here in NZ as a little treat. I guess after settling back into the groove on my return I should talk about my new camera. 🙂

Machine Elf LIVE! (Again)

Here’s this weekend’s stream. Enjoy!

Fancy a Read?

Hey all… looking for some “Test Readers” for my new book! It’s basically all ready to go, but it would be great to get some more eyes on it for feedback or just silly mistakes! Now this isn’t a book about photography, although I do talk a bit about art and creativity and finding yourself and that sort of thing. I’d say it’s more about spirituality fused with a lifetime of science. The adventure began in Scotland where something rather unbelievable happened and I left the Earth for a while. Yes, you read that right.

There’s also all kinds of personal stuff in here, all sorts of struggles, TONS of inappropriate humor, and a lot of pretty awesome stuff I’ve figured out along the way. It’s like the craziest adventure of my life (which is saying a lot, as I’ve had some real crazy ones!) and I think you’ll love it. And, yes, it will speak to you more if you maybe feel like reality is a bit strange… or perhaps you are in some sort of awakening state of your own! 🤓🥰

We’ll pick some random people! Just email [email protected] if interested!

Above Jack’s Point

Daily Photo – Above Jack’s Point

Another day, another hike! I’ve been out enjoying this weather on looooong walks about 3-4 hours a day, listening to all sorts of audiobooks. I usually carry a few pieces of fruit that I eat like a primate while my monkey brain tries to figure out these books.

Neo-Flaneur Attempt #3 – Scottish Sunset

Join Stu and I on a wander along the amazingly beautiful coast of western Scotland at sunset.

You can move the camera around any time you like to choose your own view. Be sure to set the video quality as high as your system can handle too. I think this is my favorite one yet. Enjoy!
