This is the beach in Nice, France and it seems to me to be one of the worst places to try and fish… well, obviously from a scenic point of view it’s a lovely place to fish but busy, noisy, filled with the remnants of the day’s sunbathers. If you were a fish would you choose here or just along the coast?
While on the bus tour across Europe, we made a quick stop in Nice for breakfast and a beach walk. The beach is super popular, but the only bad thing is there is no sand. It’s one of those beaches with big rocks that makes walking a little challenging, and certainly not smooth enough to lay out a beach towel and relax. Maybe the French people have inflatable things to lay on out there. I don’t know… I don’t understand the French. 🙂
After we finished our photo walk in Barcelona, we decided to take the bus to Nice, France, to have brunch. That’s a cool thing about a tour bus, is you can kinda make up plans on the fly and the driver will take you there overnight. Then, you wake up, and suddenly you’re there in the French Riviera! It’s not exactly as easy as I make it sound… but it is worth a little extra work.
Daily Photo – Stopping for Breakfast in Nice, France
After we left Monet’s home in Giverny to continue the road trip across Europe, we stopped here in Nice, along the French Riviera. I remembered this rooftop restaurant from about 20 years before when my dad had brought me out to this area. It was fun to take new friends there to experience it as well.
This is one of my favorite videos we made in the last year! Thanks again to Olya and the team!
Daily Photo – I love Nice!
I took this during our short day in Nice, France while we were on the European Tour. After a breakfast stop with mimosas, we took a stroll down the beachfront and ended up in this hashtaggy area where a bunch of locals were in full French party mode! This is kind of a “throwaway photo” – and by that, I mean, I take a lot of quick photos here and there with never any plans to publish them. Just tiny little moments here and there that I think are interesting. I don’t publish 95% of the photos I take… I’ve always thought about making a Tumblr or another Instagram account called “Trey’s Throwaway Photos” that are little moments like this. I don’t know what to do with my other 95% of photos… they are not terrible, but they’re not portfolio-quality either… just kind of in between… little ideas like this.
