Harriett the Hypochondriac & Trey the Tautologist Zoom folks Around the World About Their Lockdown

Join us as Harriett and I call up random people around the world and see how they are handling their COVID-19 lockdown. Today, we talk to Dave Maxwell in New Zealand and Ferdara Mark Broussard-Hubbard in Louisiana. One of these two dudes is gay, and so is the other one. You’ll notice I call Mark “Mark” during the show because I’ve always found his name confusing. The dramatic end of the show has an amazing finale where we talk about Tiger King and then Harriett busts out her Lion Queen mane. Creepy dudes that are into cam girls with hair rollers will be really excited about that.

Daily Photo – Montreal Notre-Dame

I guess the word Notre-Dame is sort of in the public domain since apparently anyone can name their cathedral after it. It just means “Your Mother,” which is kind of a strange thing to name something anyway. I mean, it’s quite bold to say that this building is your mother when it’s clearly not. I mean, I get the idea… Catholics like to replace your actual mother with the Virgin Mary, which also doesn’t make any sense, and not only because she’s a virgin. The whole thing is just weird when you think about it.

Daily Photo – More Notre-Dame in Montreal

I wonder. Do they hire interior decorators to design cathedrals? I mean, I guess they must, right? They don’t get a bunch of priests and nuns to sketch out something in MSPaint. But then, I was trying to imagine, if I was a guy that was building a cathedral, who exactly would I contact to design a backdrop like this? Just not sure… these are the things I think about.

Montreal from the Mountaintop

New Netflix Recommendation

Abstract! Watch it… the new season is out now. It’s a show all about art and design and I find it rather inspiring.

Daily Photo – Montreal from the Mountaintop

I’m not ashamed to go get photos from the obvious places in cities! Montreal backs onto this mountain/hill place. I’m not really sure if it qualifies as a small mountain or a big hill. Either way, there’s a perfect vantage point up there for photos of the beautiful city.

The Old Town in Montreal

Daily Photo – The Old Town in Montreal

Not until the final two days there did I make it to the charming old town area of Montreal. The area wasn’t very big, but it was quite picturesque. I think you can walk most of it in less than 20 minutes, but pretty much every angle and corner was photo-worthy. We also ended up eating at a few different places around here and had an all-around blast. What a cool city… I gotta go back! )

Daily Photo – The Amazing Organ at Notre Dame in Montreal

This organ is one of the only organs the Catholics are allowed to touch and look at during services. I have all sorts of ways I poke fun at the Catholics… probably because I went to an all-boy Jesuit school for four years where they tried to brainwash me. But, it didn’t work! However, having just poked more fun at them, I do actually have a decent amount of respect for the Jesuits. They at least have a lot of critical thought and philosophy that makes up the backbone of their teachings. There are a few logical fallacies here and there where it breaks down for me. But hey, that’s just me. I want to go back and do some DMT with some of my old teachers to see what they think.

Amazing Museum Show in Montreal

Thierry Mugler: Couturissime

Check out the museum show yourself at this link! It’s definitely worth a visit if you are in the area… and I’m not even that much into fashion!

Daily Photo – Amazing Museum Show in Montreal

Whenever I go to museums, it can be quite challenging to take photos. At best, my work is a derivative of something original. I’m very sensitive to that, so I try to find interesting perspectives and ideas that help make the work more original. I’m pretty happy with the mystery in this one.

Daily Photo – Montreal from the Hilltop

This spot reminded me a lot of The Peak in Hong Kong, except with about 10,000 less people! If you saw last week’s video, then you can see how easy it was to belly up to the bar to get a clean shot. Unlike China, you’re not constantly getting elbowed in the ribs by rather rude people. In Canada, it’s the total opposite. If someone even gets remotely close to you, they immediately utter a heartfelt apology!

360 Video of Notre Dame in Montreal!

Well, this started out very sketchy. I was SURE I was gonna get caught for using a tripod in this holy sanctuary… But, there is a good surprise ending, as you’ll see in this video! Don’t forget you can spin around the camera and look in any direction you want! ๐Ÿ™‚

In an upcoming video, I’ll show you how I edited the final shot.

What an amazing cathedral! I’ve been to A LOT of these sorts of places, and this probably has the most beautiful backdrop of any I’ve seen. I hope you find it just as beautiful as I did!
