These are known as the Three Sisters in Glencoe, Scotland. Some very imposing peaks… however, for me, the coolest thing about this place is that just off to the left were the Bridge of Death and Gorge of Eternal Peril from Monty Python and the Holy Grail! How awesome!

Quite the review of Loch Coruisk from Sir Walter Scott in the 1870’s. Not to be missed it seems. So, during our second day on Skye, Stu and I took a boat over to that remote freshwater loch which sits in amongst the Black Cuillin. That’s the igneous mountain range from this image. It was a great adventure in search of the mythical Kelpie with, as you can see, some epic clouds. On the return journey we were accompanied by a pod of dolphins which was pretty awesome in its own right. Then, to top it all off, there were multiple double rainbows as we drove towards our next destination… quite the day!

That Stu, always in the water. Rivers, lochs, burns (streams to the non-Scottish), the sea… he’s always standing in there with his camera. What I found most interesting about this whole scene was the trees. Not really what I expected of Scottish scenery/foliage. This particular backdrop had a different vibe than I was expecting. Maybe it was due to being right on the coast…

Here’s the School of Divinity, part of Edinburgh University. One of the coolest things about Edinburgh was that almost every side street I took, or archway I wandered under, opened up into some cool, medieval like scene such as this one. That guy over on the left… John Knox, he led quite the life!
