Awwww this was a sad day! But the good news is that we saw our friend Randy, the Loadmaster again. We got to be friends with him on the 10-hour flight down from Christchurch. There wasn’t much else to do on the plane except meet various members of the military! He turned out to be a great guy and it was fun to hang out with him. He even got me into the cockpit on the way home so I could get those cool photos above of Mount Erebus.
