The Bridge at Bassano Del Grappa

Another thing about this city

This bridge played a big role in both world wars. You can still see bullet dents and holes all over the nearby buildings. Alpine soldiers still gather on the bridge to sing old songs.

Daily Photo – The Bridge at Bassano Del Grappa

What a cool little medieval town this was! It’s about an hour drive outside of Venice and defo worth the visit. It has this ENORMOUS bridge across the river. I have no idea why the bridge is so wide! This city is famous for inventing “Grappa” which is an after-dinner drink made from discarded grape seeds, stalks, and stems. I tried a little bit of it… a bit like jet-fuel!
