24 CRAZY Hours in Earnslaw Burn

This is a pretty good video! I think you're really gonna like it. I spent 24 hours camping out in a very remote area of the Southern Alps. You can see some of what went on when I was getting some special photos for a patron. We choppered in and there was a bit more drama than I would have liked!

THere's a collection of cars from our camp, Camp Walter @burningman . We're in line here for the DMV (Department of Mutant Vehicles). My friend George says there are over 800 cars that go through the DMV every year to get clearance to drive around the playa. There's a huge history behind each of the vehicles in this photo. Much of it centers around the big VW bus, Walter, as a material instantiation symbolizing the concept of second chances.

This piece is called "Cadence" by @albanydana. I visited it about three times... it was this tremendous statue made out of all sorts of intricate clockworks.

I finally got these Japanese robots to stand still in formation.

Here's @babayagasbookclub by Jessi Sprocket Janusee. You can't have a book club in the desert without some robotic chicken legs holding it up!

The beautiful temple from above. Every year it is a new design... this one was one of my favorites.

Here's a rare portrait of me! One night Curtis got us all matching outfits. It was super funny and we were laughing so much. We even went up there and took over the dance stage. You should have seen it... I wonder if anyone got a video! We were inspired by @tanegent costume for Halloween in Tokyo last year.

After the man burns on Saturday night, the party and the fire keep going all night long. This was taken about 15 minutes after the man fell down and was being consumed.
