Recap of the #80Stays Tour, Asia Pacific

I just got back from another month on the road taking over 10,000 photos! 11,236 to be exact. It would be exhausting if it wasn't so much fun!

We were continuing the 80 Stays tour around the world, this time across six locations in Asia Pacific. In each stop, I find different creatives for collaborations and to help show me some secret spots. One of these is in a little "how-to" video below from Singapore. I also did a bunch of different media interviews with radio stations, magazines, and more. We'll be sure to include all of these in future newsletters in hope they bring you a bit of inspiration.

I think some of my favorite photos from the trip have not even been processed yet! I normally get to process about 5% of them on the road, but now that I am back in studio, I can spend more time on some larger works. Things like panoramas and other images take quite a bit of time. When I am traveling, I'm mostly in "content-acquisition" mode, and then when I get back I can take my time and really explore processing some of these scenes.

There are 6 more locations to visit across Asia Pacific coming up in June. I had to come home to take a little break... I have a lot of energy, but I know I need to pace myself a little. Also, I really enjoy the post-processing so much... it helps give some omegas to the alphas. Otherwise, I end up feeling a bit scattered with unfinished projects!

We produced a ton of video of tips, inspiration, and more during the trip. We're working on getting those edited together now to share with you in future newsletters. I hope they help give you a little creative boost to get out there and create with me! Aurora HDR Tip with Dotzsoh!

In this video I'll show you how I created this sci-fi look using Image Radiance, Saturation and Vibrance (amongst other things) in Aurora HDR 2018. I am joined by @Dotzsoh, a Singaporean based artist/photographer that we teamed up with during our most recent 80 Stays tour!
