Live from the Red Square!

I've always wanted to go to Moscow! It was such a mysterious place to me being someone who grew up in the 80's. All I know about Russia comes from Reddit, so it was safe to say I assumed everyone here was as crazy as a bag of hammers... and there was no disappointment there!

We had a very cold but beautiful Photo Walk in Moscow. Setting out from the Red Square just before sunset made for some perfect lighting and great shots. Check out our little Facebook Live video to see some of the amazing buildings (and Olya struggling to translate my camera lingo into Russian).

Thoughts on Reinvention from Amsterdam

Amsterdam took us into the second half of the European tour and was a return to one of the places I first worked on HDR about 8 years ago. This walk was a great chance to think about reinventing images I took back then using my current style. Here are some highlights from the walk where I share a few tips on reinvention.

Have you missed a past issue of the most beautiful newsletter on the Internet? Well, we've got great news! We've been saving them here all along just for you!

Here are some of my favorite recent photos

The Lights of Budapest
We had a great time in Budapest, this was taken the night before our Photo Walk.
A Hungarian Wave Pool
Here's a Hungarian wave pool inside a beautiful classical Turkish Bath House. We spent the day here taking photos and making some videos while getting ready for the photo walk event tonight. This bath house was particularly cool because they had like 7 pools, all thermal... some indoors and others outdoors, like this one!
City Hall
Is this the coolest city hall ever? I think maybe so! This is in Vienna before we caught the train here to Budapest.
Art Underground
Moscow subways... these are probably the most beautiful in the world!
The Colours of Moscow
Here's a photo I recently took from the rooftop bar of The Ritz-Carlton in Moscow. I've ALWAYS wanted to come to Russia... it has always been such a mysterious place to me.
Reconsidered Beauty
Another one of many random Russia photos... we stopped in this hipster coffee house in St. Petersburg that was so hipster they almost didn't let in hipsters. The light was amazing. This girl was sitting with her friend. I asked if I could take her photo and she said, "Oh no, please don't. I am so fat." I told her she wasn't then she smiled and said I could.
The Red Square
Walking through the Red Square in Moscow... Been very busy taking photos and not editing many, but here's a quick one made with Aurora HDR.
Silver Bear
We emerged from the subway to see this gentleman selling some goodies.
