Let's do something special together for Valentine's Day!

There's just a a few hours left before the big charity event to donate to the Cancer Charity for my wife's doctor!

It's a unique event because a winner will get a 30-minute video chat with me to talk about whatever you like. Today we are flying up to Auckland from Queenstown to visit another one of Tina's doctors. It just so happens the day we return home is the day the winner is selected.

How to participate? On your phone, download the app called "Chatter" - it's on Android and iPhone. After you have the app, find me there amidst the Instagram girls in tight yoga pants and buy some raffle tickets. It's very fun, and going to the good cause of my wife's doctor, Dr. Eric Liu 's efforts at The Healing NET Foundation!

Make sure to register by 7 PM EST, Feb 15, 2017, to be in to win the video chat with me! (Check your local time).

If you want to read more about Tina's cancer story, I wrote a post about it here.

My Crazy Trip Around The World - Grand Cayman and Aruba

After spending just over a week in Florida it was time to head to the tropical islands

I spent a crazy five days taking photos and hanging out with some of the world’s top chefs including Anthony Bourdain, Éric Ripert, José Andrés, and Emeril Lagasse in the Grand Cayman Islands for the famous Cayman Cookout! Here’s the highlight video!

You can also see my personal challenge to lose a little weight in my nonstop up-and-down struggles. How did I fare? Well, you’ll see…

After the Cayman Cookout, I met up with the family again in Aruba! It was my first time here and I was so glad to bring the family around. The water - the water! I made a personal photo challenge for myself here... I hope you like the final photos and some of the photo tips in here. Thanks again to the team there at the Ritz-Carlton for planning such a fun 'Winter Getaway' trip for the family!

StuckInCustoms.com is a personal blog where Trey puts up a new unique photo every day and writes about the art, the technology, and the story of the adventures. Actually, this is Trey writing about this in third person. Both Trey and I appreciate your support very much!

Some photos from Grand Cayman and Aruba :)

A beautiful sunset before heading off to the Barefoot BBQ at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman Cookout.
Paddleboard morning yoga, Aruba.
Anthony Bourdain (or Tone-Boards as I like to call him) at the Barefoot Beach BBQ. Look at this guy... showing up, helping his team, slinging some amazing Korean BBQ, then jumping in readily to a fan for a selfie... a true inspiration to me!
The moon sets behind a catamaran at dawn here. This was shot off the beach here on the Grand Cayman islands.
Another beautiful sunset from the Grand Cayman. I had been really lucky to get such good light. I literally have so many sunrise and sunset photos I don't know which to process first!
We took the family over the wilder west side of Aruba to explore this amazing natural pool. You can see us in there, swimming away like little guppies! This was taken from above with the Phantom 4 Pro.
The sun sets across pirate ships of a bygone era off the coast of Aruba. I took the quadcopter on a long flight to find this... barely got back home before the battery died!
Since I don't carry my camera when I run (that would be WAY too geeky), I carry my new Pixel phone from Google. I saw all kinds of interesting stuff while doing this in Aruba... shipwrecks, crazy outfits, ruins, and then one day, out of nowhere, I turned around and this super-hero guy was galloping full force through the ocean. I'm glad I had my phone camera ready to go!
