TL;DR: The 1K1K Project

I’m releasing 1,000 unique 1 of 1 photography NFTs from my travels across all seven continents, each with its own story as part of a PROOF Collective official collaboration. In each story, I may talk about the location, the adventure, the drugs, the hardships, the love, personal breakthroughs, personal embarrassments, struggles, or just random hilarious and unbelievable things that happened.

About 500 hours of writing (over 120,000 words – same as a long novel!) and curation went into this collection, not to mention the countless time of actually capturing these remarkable locations.

Some stories are long. Some are short and sweet. Some are sad. Some are funny. Some are embarrassing. Some are inspirational. Note this is a screenshot from our development site…the actual “NFT” will be 100% photo and the story will be in the description area.

The Uber-Uniques!

SIX Uber-Uniques!

6 of the 1,000 NFTs will receive actual physical prints if they get one of the images above.

There is a TWIST. You have to own it on March 31, 2023. So it may trade hands many times, but whoever has it on that date can get the actual print (only shipping charges will apply).

These prints are quite large and will be quite the statement in your home. Scan down a little for an example…

You can join the ranks of other physical print collectors like NFL stars, actual knights, and even celebrities like Edward Norton and Leo DiCappy. That’s what I call him… my little pet name. He likes it.

Trey’s pictures are a daily source of inspiration for me. I can’t count the times that I’ve gotten stuck in my writing and, as I sit there staring at my computer screen desperately trying to think of the next idea, the screensaver kicks in with one of Trey’s images, and the shapes and colors triggered something in me that got me to the next note…

Hans Zimmer, Composer – The Lion King, Gladiator, Batman, Inception, Sherlock Holmes, Dunkirk, lotsa other stuff

Wanna See All 1,000 in their true beauty?

Even though you can see everything on OpenSea, you can get a much better “Artistic” experience by looking at the portfolio gallery with all 1,000 images. They are in the order from #1 to #1,000 and all the descriptions are in there if you click the little “i.” Note if you’re into photography, you can also see all the EXIF data, and it shows the cameras I used, lenses, etc etc. Good, fun geeky stuff there for ya too!

Here’s one of the Uber-unique images where you get a physical print. This is from a beautiful bamboo forest in Kyoto, Japan. Whoever is holding this NFT on March 31, 2023 can have the fabricated print in their home!

Trey’s images are other-worldly, mind-blowing creations that, at first glance, appear to be some digital trompe l’oeil; a Photoshop trickery post production creation. But no, Ratcliff’s photographs — through techniques he freely shares — are inspiring and real. Something which makes them all the more incredible.

JJ Abrams – Director & Writer – Lost, Alias, Fringe, Star Trek, Super 8, some Star Warses

What Else? Like Utility or Whaaaa? Yes! In Person Art-Shows and Airdrops!

The art IS the utility, yo! But, I did come up with a fun idea. Each NFT will count as a “ticket” to get you into a private VIP event as I tour around 30 cities over the next several years.

In the afternoon, I’ll do a free art talk for kids (and kids of all ages!) and do some tutorials with our partners at the Ritz-Carlton or some other fancy schmancy hotels, depending on the city. Then, we’ll make the muggles leave for a closed-door sesh for VIPs that hold my NFTs! We’ll sip champagne, discuss the European theatre of war, and I’ll create a piece of art live in a fun chatty environment. Then, when I’m done, I’ll airdrop it to everyone that showed up. Fun!

To get you in the mood for the IRL events, this is a highlight video from my 10-city tour across Europe. Enjoy!

One of the SIX amazing physical prints!

Rarity?

Well, by default, 1 of 1’s are rare but fear not, dear NFT collector, this drop goes even further than that…

We also have a fun way to rank photos based on the “Word Cloud” of words used in the stories. Note that this is just an example and the percentages are made up.

INFREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Which communities collaborated on the whitelist?

How much writing went into this?

A lot! There are about 120,000 words, which is the equivalent of a longer novel. Some photos have longer entries and stories while others are more pithy. I also went through and picked the most interesting words to help categorize and add a fun level of rarity to the photos. For example, having an Antarctica photo is more rare than having one from China.

What can I do with the photo?

It’s yours! You can do whatever you like. Most people are wondering if they can make a print for themselves. Absolutely! It will be considered an Open Edition, and not one of the Fine Art additions from TreyRatcliff.com. Note you can also do whatever else you like with the work. Enjoy!

Are any of these made with AI?

No, none. Good question, though, nowadays. I do in fact to a lot of AI art on my other Insta account @TraiRatcliff.

More NFT goodness

To me, it’s great art.

In 2021 Trey launched a series of NFTs ranging from more traditional landscapes and cityscapes as well as Burning Man to others which explore AI based art. His photos have been viewed over 140 billion times and he currently has over 7 million social media followers. He uses these platforms to help inspire the world to be a better, more conscious, and more loving place.

Okay, I’m bored. Where else can I get me some more Trey-action?

@TreyRatcliff on Instagram – My main (mostly photography) account.

@Trairatcliff – That’s my new Instagram account where I play with AI. Follow it and tell your cool friends. Don’t tell your energy-vampire friends that you just can’t quite get rid of.

@TreyRatcliff on Twitter – A mix of everything including zero political commentary. Lots of poor-taste jokes. Very little shilling… Okay, a bit. But just cool stuff.

@Machine_Elf_Worlds – this is a fun visual meditation company I started. See more and our amazing Board at our website.

StuckInCustoms.com – That’s my blog. Been doing it for 15 years. A new blog post every day.

TreyRatcliff.com/ – That’s my portfolio site where we sell huge fine-art prints in very limited editions.

My YouTube Channel – It’s a mix of all kinds of stuff. Kind of like my first child that looks a little like the Fed-ex man.

Pinterest – I have like 6 mil followers on there. And it’s mostly women. I’ve never been so popular with women, believe me.

Facebook Fan Page – I hate Facebook but I use it anyway. I think Facebook is the equivalent of staring into the fridge when you are not even hungry.

Here is one of the Uber-Unique images where you get the actual physical print. This photo is from my home country of New Zealand. There will only ever be 3 of this image from my fine art series fabricated. It also looks amazing at night with a gentle natural light illuminating it.

Just one more thing…

Here is a little taster, a fraction, a smidge of the images from the drop.
