The South Island of New Zealand is absolutely huge. It looks tiny on the map, but it feels as big as California. Something else that makes it feel so big is hardly anyone lives on the South Island, so you can literally drive for hours and never see another car. This image was taken in the lakes area on the way to Lake Ohau.
