Everyone in Vancouver probably knows this building, but, being an outsider, I found it kinda cool.

Here are some strawberries from Granville Island. See, they are right there. I have no additional or witty commentary on these strawberries.

Okay back to normal pictures for a while… or normal to me, at least. This is the brightly colored Crystal Ark in Vancouver on Granville Island. I think it was a kid’s toy store or a gun shop. One of the two.

Vancouver is perhaps the grayest city I have ever visited. The buildings have been ordained by the government to maintain roughly the same color as the clouds at all times. It it wasn’t for these colorful Aquabai, it would be like one huge Take On Me video.

This was taken on Granville Island on a Sunday morning.

This is a sport I never got into, mostly because it seems to involve oversized equipment and I don’t know where I would keep a boat like that in my house. It would be the sort of thing that gets lodged in a stairwell for several years.

The clouds and the storm were just about right for transmitting electricity through the ground, so I had to grab this HDR of the Tesla Coil in Vancouver.

Here is a nice little foggy pond at sunset in Vancouver in the Autumn. I can’t think of a better time of year or conditions to shoot around there.

Here are some cool homes on Granville Island in Vancouver. For some reason, looking at that green house on the right makes me dizzy.

This is the Lion’s Gate late one evening as the fog rolled into the bay. I was lucky it was stormy most of the time there, because that tends to make for more interesting photographs. If you squint closely at this picture of Canada, you can see the socialized medicine.

Over the weekend we hung pictures up at the gallery. Everything looks pretty sharp and those of you are coming to the gallery opening should see something a bit different, perhaps. I don’t know… impossible to be objective, but I do know it is different than what is usually shown there at Halcyon.

This is an HDR of Vancouver taken from Stanley Park very late at night. We headed over there after a dinner party since it was one of the few nights it wasn’t raining, we wanted to take the opportunity to see the city.
